I guess the place to start is that I got to Texas as quickly as I could. Being born in New York City and then being raised in France and Germany, I didn't get to Texas until I started college at North Texas State University. While going to school, I worked and saved money for my summer trips to Europe where it was still safe to hitchhike any place ones heart desired. After spending part of a summer in Japan where my parents were now living and a whole summer in Madrid, Spain, the following year, I realized that after dental school settling down in one place would be difficult to get used to. So, while attending dental school at The University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, I joined the USAF and was fortunate to be stationed at RAF Upper Heyford, England, for three years. After the USAF I bought a dental practice in Garland, Texas. From Garland, I moved the practice to Richardson where I built a building and practiced there until August 2006 when I sold the practice. By a fortunate sequence of events, I found out that a dental practice was for sale in Greenville. After meeting Dr. Helsel and his staff, I made the decision that this is where I would like to practice dentistry until I retire. And, I have enjoyed it ever since.
